First Annual Charity Golf Tournament

Most OTs would agree that we need to have 'balance' in our lives. And once in a while, it is nice to take a break from work and have a little bit of fun. And what could be better than enjoying a Saturday summer day playing a quick game of golf? Theraskills is organizing its first annual charity golf tournament scheduled for September 10, 2011 at the Kinsmen Pitch and Putt in Edmonton, AB. This will give everyone the opportunity to enjoy the remaining Edmonton summer and to network with other fellow collegues in health care. All of the registration proceeds will be donated to the International Health Initiatives (IHI) to help support their rehabilitation efforts in developing countries.
The IHI is comprised of a group of health professionals grass-rooted from Vancouver, BC who are committed to promoting rehabilitation and empowering people with disabilities in the international community. Their latest project was presented at the 2011 Canadian Society of Hand Therapists Annual Conference to develop the Cameroon Upper Extremity Rehabilitation Program in Cameroon.
